I happened upon a cemetery in Kilgore, SC at the Antioch Baptist Church. The headstones were particularly striking with elaborate stone sculptings. One in particular caught my attention: a vine of carved, extracted flowers and leaves. The stone was not monochromatic, but contained many flecks of colored stone. I certainly did not leave without a photograph of these lovely flowers in this stone.
After importing the photograph into Adobe Photoshop, I was able to bring out the many colors in the stone as well as enhance the texture and shadows of the flowers, leaves, and vine. This was done with a combination of Photoshop filters and image adjustments in brightness, contrast, and color saturation.
